Antarctica had always been somewhere we dreamed of experiencing, and earlier this year we were fortunate enough to finally make that journey together. Not only was it an extraordinary adventure, but it also marked a special milestone for us: stepping onto our seventh continent. Our trip began in Santiago, where we spent a few days exploring the city before heading south to Punta Arenas. From there we boarded a flight to King George Island to join the Sylvia Earle, Aurora Expeditions’ state‑of‑the‑art expedition ship. Stepping onto the island for the first time, surrounded by glaciers and vast snowy landscapes, was an unforgettable moment and the beginning of an incredible expedition. Over the next ten days we explored the Weddell Sea and the Antarctic Peninsula, visiting some of the most remote and remarkable places we have ever seen. Each day brought breathtaking scenery and unforgettable wildlife encounters.
