Cape Town’s mix of ocean, mountains and restless creative energy felt instantly addictive, and wandering its neighbourhoods revealed a city that is both deeply complex and effortlessly welcoming. Standing on Table Mountain one morning and cruising out to Robben Island that afternoon set the tone for a journey defined by contrast and surprise.
