Islands of the Caribbean & Bermuda

The svelte Silversands, designed by the exclusive Parisbased architects AW2, has injected a slice of 21st Century design to the more traditional resort scene on the ‘Spice Island’ of Grenada. It’s modern lines are in complete contrast to classic Caribbean architecture. This is the tropical equivalent of scandinavian simplicity with a cool natural palette that only adds to the stunning setting at the north end of Grande Anse beach. The resort’s centrepiece is the ribbon-like pool that draws your eyes down to the sea and is framed by inviting four-poster day beds and palm trees. And at the end of the Caribbean’s longest pool, you have the island’s most popular, and one of its most beautiful beaches, Grand Anse. The resort sits at the northern reaches of the sweeping sand so it is quieter but within easy reach of the rustic beach bars, craft stalls and restaurants. There’s a real focus on sustainability and community when it comes to dining at Silversands. Much of the produce, including most of the fruits and vegetables used, are sourced through GRENDOP, a network of female producers based on the island. Tastes of the islands are key but there are also plenty of international influences and cuisines too. Silversands Grenada Grand Anse Beach, Grenada
